How To Work With Perennial Streams

The streams shown below are in the Cape Fear River Basin. When development occurs a minimum 50' buffer is required. In some cases a 100' buffer is needed which makes development of land more difficult. Additionally, crossing a stream involves some very stringent requirements as well as considerations regarding soil erosion and runoff from impervious surfaces. There is a delicate balance between building land value and paying careful attention to environmental issues. It's important to make the site aesthetically pleasing while working with the vegetation and water features of the property. Developing to requirements while building land value is one key to making a solid, profitable land investment. Atkinson Properties has a wealth of experience in this area.
At Atkinson Properties we work with a first class team of professionals from planning, environmental and engineering stages to site planning and development. For a free no obligation analysis of your land contact Bob Atkinson today.
